Canada needed a little English injection into its menswear market! So it came in the form of a delectable range of suiting, casual wear, and accessories from Simon Carter, in the Carnaby Street Collection. It was to be featured as part of the ranges in the Tip Top Tailors stores, a brand that has been in Canada for over a hundred years..

As a bit of background, the brand is stocked most notably around the world in Selfridges, Fenwicks, Bloomingdale's and Liberty. He has his own stores all over the world, from London to Toronto, New York and Japan. 

His style is summarized as, inventive, understated chic! Simon Carter says; "Todays man is more fashion aware than ever before. I strive to create menswear and accessories that are distinctive and add a whimsical flair to his personal style".

The launch event and PR in Canada, was managed by myself and my team at Pebble Marketing. We led the press and notable personalities to the Tip Top Tailors flagship store, for drinks, delicious bites and a fine display of the collection, modeled by 'men of influence' from journalists, to chefs, a celebrity psychic, to an actor in bloom. So 'real men' - not just your 'A' typical models! Real tailored garments worn by real men with esteemed taste.

With interviews by Simon Carter, held in a London taxi cab and in the store, the press were enthralled. It was an event that went off without a hitch. Simon was quoted as saying "Now this is what a launch event should be like". Followed up by a massively successful press campaign, Simon Carter was well and truly launched in Canada.

As highlighted by a journalist in 'The Globe & Mail' in Toronto, however, a continued campaign would be required for continued success.... and sometimes you just dont get your wish. But collections did sell out through the downtown core, and Simon Carter continues to delight Canadians with his superior taste and quality. 

It was a great night, and for myself and the team, an example of what I love to do....all hands to the pumps and everything working as it should. Oh and Simon Carter & his fine wife, ....bloody nice people and so comforting to see folks from old Blighty over here!
